LOCATION

Galmpton Park is nestled between Torbay and the Dart Valley in an area of outstanding natural beauty. It is a small and well-kept development of 46 privately owned holiday bungalows. If you love peaceful, rural tranquility with amenities and interesting places to visit nearby, it is heavenly.

When you stay here, you can leave your car behind as there is so much available within easy reach. A convenient 10 minutes walk away is Galmpton village where you will find the local pub, village store and post office, family butcher and hairdresser.

It is well situated for beaches too with three close by – Broadsands beach (1.4 miles) as well as dog-friendly Goodrington Sands (2.5 miles) and Elberry Cove (1 mile).
Agatha Christie’s former home, the captivating Greenway House & Gardens (now National Trust), is just a mile down the road and a must-see during your stay.

The park also offers superb views of the River Dart, across to Dartmoor in the distance. You can take a walk down to the Creek in 10 minutes, passing a gorgeous view of the Dart on the way.

The area has plenty of appeal for dog owners or keen walkers. There are fantastic walks from the doorstep but don’t expect a level walk, this is Devon! Our favourite takes you down Mill Lane to the shore of the river with stunning views along the way. Just a stroll away is a dog-friendly village pub, The Manor Inn.
