Cozy cottage and having the virtual parking permit to use in the car parks that are a short stroll away was really nice. Katie was friendly and helpful. Highly recommended!

(A light outside the front door would be good as it’s very dark at night)

The nook is a great place to stay for anyone wanting to explore Dartmoor or the coast of Devon. The Town was nice albeit lacked any restaurants within a short walk.

Quirky place to stay with lots of character.

The host was quick to reply and accommodate a last minute booking.

Absolutely loved our stay at The Nook. Katie and Rupert were very accommodating and helpful regarding our changing check in times. The Nook was perfectly located for our stay, with easy access to Dartmoor for hikes and lovely places to visit like Totnes. Walkable distance to local amenities. Would highly recommend a stay here.

Katie and Rupert keep a lovely, cosy cottage in Buckfastleigh. It catered to all our needs and made for such an enjoyable weekend. The experience from start to finish was very smooth. We were provided with all the information needed to check in and out and use the air bnb’s facilities. We were also welcomed with a lovely basket of goodies to kick start our holiday. Overall, we would recommend a stay at the Nook to anyone and would love to return in the future!

This was my second stay at the Nook, and it was just as good as the last time. Fantastic location for exploring Dartmoor, Buckfastleigh has everything you could need, as does the cottage. Katie's communication was great when the power went down due to a big storm, even early on Sunday morning!

Nice place that matched expectations. Excellent host who replied promptIy to my queries. I stayed there alone. The apartment might feel a bit snug for a couple. A minor drawback is that the apartment is off the main road in an alley without street lights. I still felt safe but this might be good to know.

Bijou cottage in the heart of Buckfastleigh.

We loved the cute layout of the cottage and the natural lighting in the bedroom and bathroom from the skylights is very lovely, bed was comfortable and the shower was nice and hot!

We enjoyed visiting South Devon Railway. A lovely steam train ride to Totnes along the River and they have a sweet little cafe there too. Also next to the railway there is a family operated otter sanctuary that also has a butterfly house, this was also a nice way to while away a couple of hours.

Katie and Rupert were very responsive and helpful throughout our stay when an unexpected incident occurred. Thank you for having us! Also thank you for the welcome goodies!

We stayed at the Nook for 9 nights and really enjoyed our stay. It is in a very central location in Buckfastleigh, just off the main street. Buckfastleigh is the perfect base for visiting Dartmoor, the South Devon coast, Exeter and Plymouth.
The accommodation is compact but cosy, and with everything you need for two people. The only drawback was the lack of a washing machine, which to be fair was actually mentioned in the ad, so not Katie's fault - just something to be aware of if you're staying a week or more.
Katie was an excellent host, very accommodating and helpful.

What's not to love about this cottage. It makes you feel right at home thanks to the warm atmosphere, comfy couch and cosy fireplace. The beds are comfy too. Communication with the host and check-in went very smoothly, the parking spot is a bit hidden but clear instructions can be found inside. The location is superb too, very close to many of the beautiful spots of Dartmoor National Park and in the center of Buckfastleigh, a cute little place with some good food. We would highly recommend going here!

This is a cosy cottage with period features situated at the end of an enclosed set of houses off a main street - it’s really quiet with access to a small garden area at the back. The cottage is well furnished with comfortable beds and sofa. We had the full Sky TV package to access films in the evening which was great. It is well located to give easy access to Dartmoor.
Parking is a bit of an issue as the main road immediately outside is narrow with double yellow lines so you take your chances with parking spaces in the adjoining roads 2-3 min walk away but it wasn’t a significant problem. There is no shower but a bath shower head. The bath takes about 20 mins to fill but the water is still nice & hot when you get in. Overall we really enjoyed our stay.

Katie's cottage is lovely - the bed is enormous and comfortable, the sitting room we'll set up, the kitchen is well stocked and it's within walking distance of everything Buckfastleigh has to offer. We highly recommend a trip to the otter sanctuary and the coffee house for an excellent cup of coffee.
The downsides are the on street parking is very hit and miss and there is no shower - much as we enjoyed the spa bath we really missed the opportunity for a quick shower.

Nice comfortable house in a good location on the edge of Dartmoor. Everything works as it should but - although not a problem for us - anyone with mobility problems should note that you will need to park a few minutes' walk from the house.
