Laura Lee is an attractive, end-positioned, holiday bungalow with a garden and patio for outside dining. Complete with trees, shrubbery and a lawn, it feels private and very much a home from home.
Sleeping up to three adults and a child, it is ideal for a small family group. There is a double bedroom for a couple and a single bedroom for an adult or child, plus an extra pullout bed for an additional child up to 12 years old. They both share a shower room.
The cosy living space has been furnished in smart grey, white and red with a welcoming lounge and dining area which is open to the kitchen, so ideal for gathering together.
Outside there is a sunny southwest facing front patio with table and chairs, and further garden space at the side, planted with a variety of shrubs. Lawns at the front are well stocked with mature shrubs and flowers. It makes a lovely setting for a holiday.
Laura Lee (sleeping up to 4) and Lucy Lou (sleeping up to 3) are situated next door to each other, so they are perfect for two families wishing to holiday together.
Galmpton Park is nestled between Torbay and the Dart Valley in an area of outstanding natural beauty. It is a small and well-kept development of 46 privately owned holiday bungalows. If you love peaceful, rural tranquility with amenities and interesting places to visit nearby, it is heavenly.
When you stay here, you can leave your car behind as there is so much available within easy reach. A convenient 10 minutes walk away is Galmpton village where you will find the local pub, village store and post office, family butcher and hairdresser.
It is well situated for beaches too with three close by – Broadsands beach (1.4 miles) as well as dog-friendly Goodrington Sands (2.5 miles) and Elberry Cove (1 mile). Agatha Christie’s former home, the captivating Greenway House & Gardens (now National Trust), is just a mile down the road and a must-see during your stay.
The park also offers superb views of the River Dart, across to Dartmoor in the distance. You can take a walk down to the Creek in 10 minutes, passing a gorgeous view of the Dart on the way.
The area has plenty of appeal for dog owners or keen walkers. There are fantastic walks from the doorstep but don’t expect a level walk, this is Devon! Our favourite takes you down Mill Lane to the shore of the river with stunning views along the way. Just a stroll away is a dog-friendly village pub, The Manor Inn.
