A charming accommodation!
This was a lovely cottage, the owners have done a great job of mixing the original charm and features with modern and safe practicalities that make this place great for everyone even young families. We didn’t use all the facilities due to the time of year but the games room and hot tub were fantastic. Lots of Welsh beauty surrounding you in the shape of beaches and waterfalls and mountain walks! There was only one slight negative and we only mention it for transparency and that was that the cottage is placed close to a A road and some traffic noise is heard from the bedrooms, we adjusted very quickly and it didn’t impact our stay, we also appreciate there is not anything the owners can do about that. We will definitely recommend this place to others. Thank you!

We loved this stay, plenty of things to keep the whole family entertained on rainy days (Table Tennis, Pool, Darts, Golf, Hot Tub etc.). Had a great time just relaxing without actually doing much (apart from Zip World) .... that said there are lots of things to do around this area, we just took the lazy option!

Stayed here for my wifes 40th birthday after speaking to katie she had sorted out banners, balloons,flowers and fizz absolutely amazing. Our stay was amazing just what we was looking for quiet and peaceful we had our 7 year old daughter with us to and the games room and miniature golf went down a treat and loved walking the grounds. It was a real home from home feel had everything we needed. The hot tub lovely with the cold weather thanks for a grear stay and we will definitely be back.

What a lovely cottage! Really spacious and has everything you need. Comfy sofa's and beds, really warm inside (we had to turn heating down as we love having a fire!), great shower (although not much head room!) and the oven was lovely to cook on.
Excellent instructions for arrival, the cottage was easy to find. The road is fairly busy but it didn't bother us at all. Some lovely walks in the area. Slightly disappointed that whilst the walk into Corris village was enjoyable it wasn't an option to pop to the pub in the evening for a few drinks as it would be a hard slog up the hill (and in the dark at this time of year!). But again, not a massive problem as we enjoyed the cottage, games room and hot tub enough so were more than happy staying in.

Had a fab stay at Katie's place its central to l brixham, close to parking and easily accessible. The flat was well equipped and Katie was very organised in that there was a book containing all the instruction manuals for appliances.

Fantastic lodge! The lodge was beautifully furnished, clean and homely. The addition of the hot tub, games room etc was just fabulous! Cannot wait to visit again! X

Good place and we had a lovely break there. Warm and felt safe with young children - loved the open plan aspect of kitchen and living room. Great location near Brixham Harbour - we really warmed to the area. Lots of fun, ice cream and Rockfish! Would recommend.

Captains Rest is a gem. We stayed here with our 3 year old for a week in October and it was perfect. About as central as you can get, lovely apartment, one of the best equipped kitchens I've ever seen in an Air BnB, and lovely restaurants, coffee and shops nearby. We will be back I'm sure.

I want to first preface this review by saying, Katie -who helps manage the property on behalf of the owner, is EXCEPTIONAL. Truly an absolute gem! Not only did she save us many a time (due to WiFi issues/blackout) but was incredibly helpful & knowledgeable about the area, & accommodating of our needs

Which brings me “nicely” onto the review of the property itself

For a short stay, this place is ideal. However if you are perhaps non driving folk (like myself/mum), & if you’re hoping to stay longer than a weekend, be aware that not everything is within walking distance, or as “smooth sailing” within the property as you would expect (considering the price paid to stay)

As aforementioned, Katie was incredibly diligent in helping us out throughout the various difficulties experienced (WiFi not working, blackout due to not enough money left on the meter for our stay) but I do feel this should not have been an issue to begin within, & did sadly impact our enjoyment during our stay.

Stayed 6 nights. It was nice. Could do with someone living there a while to make it more comfortable, things like curtains would make a big improvement from the noise/light/proximity of the street. Did not use garden as did not feel private. Paignton is lovely and the house was only 10 minutes walk down to the beach. Parking on surrounding streets wasn’t too much of an issue. Plant milk for a cup of tea would’ve been nice plus some basics like bread/marg/oil for cooking. Bed was comfy. Shower was good.

As with staying anywhere new, you take a leap into the unknown, with fingers crossed. This is one of the best leaps we've ever taken. the apartment is fabulous, everything you need and more. Great communication with Katie, she was very helpful. The family had such a good time, we are already looking to book for next year and Katie will definitely be our first choice.

It's been many years since I have been to Brixham and it is nice to see that the harbour has kept it's character, unlike Torquay, which we visited for the day and was less than impressed.

If you're looking for somewhere to stay, whether it's as a couple or a family, this is the place to book.

This cottage is really nice, very clean and had everything we needed for the seven day stay. It is close to the beach and conveniently positioned for exploring the English Rivera, especially by public transport. We would be more than happy to stay again in Katie’s place next time we visit.

Lovely cottage in lovely area. Perfect for my active family. Lots to do even in a rainy day. Very helpful staff - especially a gardener as we had a problem with my car on check out day.
A lots of steps outside and inside of the property which was not a problem for us but could be for someone. WiFi password hasn’t been updated in a welcome book again was not a problem for us.
Definitely 5* place without shadow of doubt

Katie was a fantastic host and the cottage was lovely very quaint and homely and immaculately clean.
Parking right outside could be a little difficult at times but that is un avoidable with most tourist areas, but there was plenty of other parking.
I would recommend this to anyone looking for a cottage stay.

Had a wonderful week at this beautiful property. Its location is so peaceful, not far to drive to Torquay, Brixham, Paignton. Property is amazing, very clean, had everything you'd need, lovely garden and we loved the hot tub.

Spent a week in “Little Greenway” with my other half, and what a lovely location.
It’s right in the middle of some beautiful walks and some stunning locations. Just a short drive to some great attractions and some pieces of history.
The place itself was spotless and clean and was very modern. Felt way bigger than it shows in the photos to.
Beautiful place, great host, would happily book Little Greenway again.
