Holiday Homes in Paignton

This house was simply fantastic to stay in, it is warm, cosy, was well provisioned with essential foodstuffs and more logs for the woodburner than we could cope with. The owner who lives on site is of rare generosity and the house reflects this. As a place to stay it was just idyllic, and though we had fine weather with walks on Dartmoor and on the coast, a high point of the day was to return to the house, get our books out, light the massive stove and settle down in the very comfortable sofa. If it had rained we would have been content to sit and gaze out of the panoramic window out on to the countryside and the coast beyond. The bed was large and comfortable, and the sun deck outside the bedroom are ideal to get the last rays of the sun and enjoy the view. Location wise it is perfect for Totness, Brixham, Newton Abbot, Bovey Tracey, the moors and the rather under rated but delightful Teignmouth. The cafe at Berry Pomeroy Castle just down the road is also well worth visiting.

A really lovely holiday house. Cosy, homely and great attention to detail with artwork on the walls. Large extremely comfortable bed. I cannot praise the property enough. The owner lived on site and got a thermostat problem sorted promptly and supplied us with extra logs too.

Stayed 6 nights. It was nice. Could do with someone living there a while to make it more comfortable, things like curtains would make a big improvement from the noise/light/proximity of the street. Did not use garden as did not feel private. Paignton is lovely and the house was only 10 minutes walk down to the beach. Parking on surrounding streets wasn’t too much of an issue. Plant milk for a cup of tea would’ve been nice plus some basics like bread/marg/oil for cooking. Bed was comfy. Shower was good.

This cottage is really nice, very clean and had everything we needed for the seven day stay. It is close to the beach and conveniently positioned for exploring the English Rivera, especially by public transport. We would be more than happy to stay again in Katie’s place next time we visit.

Great place to stay, beautiful surroundings. So close to all the places we wanted to visit. Had a tile cracked in kitchen, mentioned to the owners and was fixed within half a hour.

We had a lovely stay in this beautiful home (although some unexpected and very active nighttime slug life)!

Fantastisk sted med historisk arkitektur og autentiske kvaliteter. Du kommer virkelig inn i bobla og kan koble av fra byliv med stress og jag. Også eieren av stedet, Paul som bor der, vil gi deg alle historier og anektodet fra de siste tjue årene siden han startet rehabiliteringen av dette fantastiske stedet. Vi vil anbefale stedet på det sterkeste😊

Nice cottage in beautiful countryside. Close (by car) to many interesting towns and villages.

Katie was a fantastic host and the cottage was lovely very quaint and homely and immaculately clean.
Parking right outside could be a little difficult at times but that is un avoidable with most tourist areas, but there was plenty of other parking.
I would recommend this to anyone looking for a cottage stay.

We hebben een heerlijke week gehad in de schattige cottage. Goede keuken. Badkamers prima passend bij de stijl van het huis. Heerlijke bedden. Het uitzicht vanuit de woonkamer is fantastisch. Geen last gehad van de schapen. Juist leuk om naar te kijken vanuit de tuin. Paul de eigenaar is een vriendelijke kerel. Hij woont naast de cottage. Het welkomstpakket is heel leuk en handig voor de eerste behoeften. Totnes is een leuk plaatsje met leuke restaurants en winkeltjes. We hebben mooie wandelingen gemaakt in Dartmoor NP en omgeving Dartmouth. Absoluut de moeite waard. Wij komen graag nog eens terug naar deze woning.

Had an absolutely amazing time. Firstly really good location, really lovely surroundings and then lots of nice near by towns to visit as well. Very comfortable and relaxing, would honestly recommended this place to my friends and anyone else that wants a break from city life.

Great place and perfect for us as working away from home. Peaceful and relaxing. We will be back again.

The cottage met our needs and was clean and located close to amenities. Parking was a little difficult outside the cottage but safe places were found each day only a short walk away.
All in all, a pleasurable experience and would use again.

Lovely stay at a beautiful cottage. Hosts really helpful and accommodating. Easy check in and thoughtful provisions left on arrival.
A little remote but not far from amenities and within a few minutes drive of Paignton and Totnes.
Would recommend!
