Hillcrest is a beautiful example of a period 1930’s house, tastefully decorated, retaining many original features. In each room you will find handmade, sumptuous soft furnishings mixed with unique pieces of interest adding a touch of luxury throughout.
DOWNSTAIRS
The kitchen is the hub of this stylish property; the bespoke units, handmade with reclaimed teak wood, give a warm and vintage feel to this wonderful room, where you will find a large gas range oven, extending dining table and a collection of vintage kitchenalia. The kitchen is very well equipped with everything you could need for large family meals together or busy breakfasts before you head out for a day of exploring. Fresh coffee beans are provided for the delonghi coffee machine along with other thoughtful treats to welcome you.
Also downstairs, you will find a stylish lounge with open fireplace, classic chesterfield seating and patio doors leading out to the ‘secret garden’ patio.
There is a large king-sized bedroom downstairs, plus a shower room off the kitchen which houses a washing machine and drying area.
UPSTAIRS
The eclectic mix of furnishings and unique vintage items continues throughout the upstairs, which offers 2 double bedrooms plus a twin room with an additional sofabed for extra guests.
The spacious family bathroom boasts a large walk in shower with separate 3/4 bath.
OUTSIDE
The real highlight of Hillcrest is the beautiful, safe and secluded garden which enjoys the sun all afternoon. The patio has a large dining table and chairs, tastefully lit with festoons and set amongst mature, subtropical foliage.
The enchanted fairy garden is a real children’s delight, nestled in the boarders there are many surprises for your little ones to find. There is also a children’s playhouse and dining area complete with charming toadstool seating.
The garden also offers a large solid fuel igloo BBQ and a stunning Moroccan inspired summer house for cosy chill out times!
Paignton is set in the heart of Torbay, a scenic part of South Devon known as the ‘English Riviera’. It boasts everything you need for a memorable holiday.
Hillcrest is conveniently located in a quiet area, approximately half a mile (15 minute walk) to Goodrington Sands, and 1 mile to Paignton seafront where you will find long, sandy beaches with colourful beach huts, impressive promenades, a traditional seaside pier and an array of coastal amenities. From building sandcastles to paddling in the sea, playing ball games and enjoying relaxed drinks and ice creams together, there is something for everyone in Paignton.
The town centre is nearby so you will easily discover a wide choice of shops and restaurants. Visitors to Paignton are in the right place to sample some of the amazing fresh fish that is on offer at restaurants around the town, and in particular down by the pretty harbourside.
It is also a wonderful area for walkers. Glorious, long walks along the stunning coastal path lead to scenic cliffs, sandy stretches and hidden coves.
